Linguistic and cultural mapping platform
An interactive linguistic mapping platform dedicated to documenting, preserving, and exploring the diverse indigenous languages, ethnic groups, and cultural heritage of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The problem
The Cordillera region has a rich tapestry of indigenous languages and cultural identities, yet much of this heritage is scattered across static archives and textbooks with no centralized, interactive way for people to explore and learn.
Our approach
Our team designed an interactive linguistic mapping platform to document and celebrate the region's diverse languages. I designed the Figma prototype and interface structure across provinces and municipalities, while our team built the platform end-to-end as an open-source codebase on GitHub to make cultural education accessible.
The outcome
We delivered the Figma prototype and open-source platform, bridging cultural documentation with a functioning digital tool for students and researchers.
